Who does Container Authority sell to? +
Container Authority is a B2B Industrial Container Packaging Supplier. We are a B2B supplier of new IBC totes, rebottled IBCs, reconditioned IBCs, industrial steel drums, industrial poly drums, and Industrial Fiber Drums. Focusing on direct sales to businesses located in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Who do I call to place an order? +
You can place orders by calling (859) 881-3190. Individuals may also purchase by appointment only.
Business Hours+
Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm EST.
Closed on all federal holidays.
Payments Accepted+
We charge a 5% credit card processing fee.
ID required when paying by check; ID name must match the name on the check.
Business customers can charge to their accounts.
What is a UN Rating and do I need one? +
A UN Rating is a series of codes certifying a container has passed D.O.T. testing for hazardous materials. If you are shipping regulated chemicals, a UN-rated drum or tote is mandatory. The filler is responsible for ensuring the rating matches the hazard class.
How do I know if my product is compatible with my container? +
Compatibility depends on the chemical concentration and temperature. Always refer to your product's Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or a chemical resistance chart before filling. We recommend New FDA-compliant containers for food or pharmaceutical applications.

Shipping & Receiving & Customer Pick up

What are your shipping and receiving hours? +
Shipping Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (EST).
Receiving Hours: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (EST) FCFS, no appointment needed.
Can I pick up my order? +
Yes. Select "Pick Up" during checkout. After completing your order, call (859) 881-3190 to schedule a time M-F 8:00am to 4:00pm (EST).
I am at your facility where is the pick up area? +
When you arrive at our facility in Harrodsburg, KY pull to the back loading dock area where there is a service door and ring the service buzzer. Hours: M-F 8:00am to 4:00pm (EST). Please note: customer service is unavailable from 12noon to 1pm.
Does Container Authority make deliveries? +
Yes, to our business customers only. We maintain our own fleet of trucks (Semi & Box) that allows us to deliver to your business efficiently throughout KY, IN, OH, VA, TN, GA, and SC.
Does Container Authority offer Freight Services for Hire?+
Yes, Container Authority is a Licensed and Insured Freight Carrier MC#1435940.

Sustainability & Quality Control

What is your return policy? +
Returns are accepted for defective or damaged products within 30 days. Authorized returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 35%.
Do you offer empty container pickup/recycling? +
Yes. We assist B2B customers in our service region with empty IBC tote collection and drum recycling to support corporate sustainability goals. Contact us for eligibility.
How are reconditioned containers tested? +
All reconditioned IBCs and Drums undergo a Professional Wash & Rinse, Leak-Proofness Test and Hot-Air Dried, Leak-proof testing is done by pressurizing the container to ensure zero defects. Fiber drums are emptied of any contents and vacummed & hand wiped down and inspected, Fiber drums are 100% recyclable once metal components are removed.
